LUVIAN uses ultrasonic technology to produce a hypochlorous (HOCl) mist with droplets smaller than five microns — for scale, a human hair is roughly 70 microns and an E. coli cell is 1–3 microns. At that size, the mist behaves more like a gas than a spray: it fills the volume of a room, contacts surfaces wipes can't reach, and dissipates without residue.

A wipe-and-spray covers what the operator can see and reach. A conventional fogger drops larger droplets that fall out of the air. LUVIAN's ultrasonic mist is small enough to behave like a gas — and the scale comparison makes that intuitive.
